  1. Authors must submit their paper(s) using the IEEE template.
  2. Authors must place the copyright notice in the footer of the first page (see visual example).
    1. Please select the copyright notice applicable to your authorship situation:
      • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
      • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-8995-6/21/$31.00 ©2021 Crown
      • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-8995-6/21/$31.00 ©2021 European Union
      • For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-8995-6/21/$31.00 ©2021 IEEE
    2. In case you are using the LaTeX-template, follow these steps to add the copyright notice:
      • Use the IEEEtran document class (i.e. \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran})
      • Add the following lines before the \maketitle command using the copyright notice that is applicable to your situation from above:
        • \IEEEoverridecommandlockouts
        • \IEEEpubid{\makebox[\columnwidth]{978-1-7281-8995-6/21/$31.00 ©2021 IEEE \hfill} \hspace{\columnsep}\makebox[\columnwidth]{ }}
      • Add the following line after the \maketitle command:
        • \IEEEpubidadjcol
  3. Before the final submission (February March 31th, 2021), authors have to use IEEE PDF eXpress site to validate their paper(s). Validation is not required for the initial submission (October 1st, 2020). Please create a new user account or login with credentials from other IEEE conferences using the conference ID 49943X and follow their instructions. Note that to use IEEE PDF eXpress site you will need to register with your email. You can then use the dashboard to upload your paper.
Please note that any changes made to a PDF after IEEE PDF eXpress conversion or PDF Checking may invalidate Xplore compatibility. This includes headers, page numbers, copyright notice, watermarks, etc. If any of these elements are desired, they should be added to the document before a PDF is created.
  4. Submit your paper to MT-ITS2021 via Submit a Paper.
  5. Upon acceptance, all authors of accepted papers must transfer copyright to IEEE by utilizing the electronic IEEE Copyright Form (eCF) (see IEEE Copyright Policy). IEEE policy requires that all accepted papers must be checked for plagiarism. This will be done through the IEEE CrossCheck Portal. When submitting your paper, please check the option “I have added the copyright notice in my manuscript“. You will receive the copyright form from IEEE after that the final version of the paper has been submitted.

Paper Submission

A full paper can be submitted until October 22nd 2020 (extended deadline). All accepted papers will be presented at podium sessions and will be submitted for inclusion in the Scopus-indexed IEEE Xplore Digital Library conference proceedings (conference number 49943). A PDF-version of the Call for Papers is also available via: http://go.tum.de/020905

The conference follows a single-blind review process. Therefore, author information does not need to be blinded on submitted papers.
